Introduction to Decoupage

Description of Introduction to Decoupage

This course will focus on the basic techniques of decoupage. In this course you will change a home decor piece into something new, customizing it to reflect your own personality, using contemporary decoupage techniques. Our primary focus will be on home decor items and small furniture, and during the first session we will discuss appropriate items for you to bring in to re–create. You will also learn the skills to combine faux painting with decoupage techniques. No prior experience is necessary. Please bring the following to the first class: some pre–cut images that you like, some of your favorite magazines, greeting cards, or photographs, and paint brushes. Information about paint brushes will be sent to registrants.

In this workshop you will meet at the instructors south end Studio and learn several technique’s and get educated in the history of decoupage. A list will be sent to students of suggested items to work on focusing on Home Decor and glass. The Workshop Focus’s Primary on Sponge painting techniques and decoupage.
